Derek Alfama

  • 1996 graduate of Norwich University,

  • Mens team captain 1995-96 season

  • Received Robert Priestly award

  • General Manager of Worcester Blades, CWHL Women’s professional team

  • Ten years experience as an Assistant Women’s Hockey Coach in the NCAA, ECAC and Hockey East divisions.

  • Assistant Coach of the Providence College Women’s Hockey team, where he helped guide the team to a second-place finish with a consistent top ten national ranking throughout the season.

  • Helped to facilitate all recruiting efforts including identifying recruiting opportunities, communicating with potential recruits and their parents, reviewing all academic information and coordinating all visits

  • Served as the assistant coach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for two seasons (2013 – 2015).

  • Previous to RPI, he was with The College of the Holy Cross where worked with the Crusaders for two seasons and helped lead the team to the ECAC Open Championship game.

  • Spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the Norwich University Cadets (2008-2011) in which the team made three NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, including the quarterfinals in the 2008-09 season and runner-up in 2009-10. Norwich won the NCAA Championship in 2011.

  • Part of the staff at Norwich University who received the American College Hockey Association Division III Women’s Staff of the Year Award in two of his three seasons. He was also awarded the 2016 Hockey East Coaching Staff of the Year with Providence College Hockey staff and was runner-up in 2017.

Bob Kenneally

  • 1990 graduate of Brown University

  • Member of Brown University Varsity hockey team 1986-90 and lead the team in scoring in 1987-88

  • Received the Charles A. Lanigan Memorial Trophy, given to the senior hockey player who shows the most improvement, leadership and dedication during his varsity career

  • 1990-91 taught and coached at the Rectory School in Pomfret, Conn.

  • 2015-18 Head Coach Brown University Women’s hockey team

  • Associate Athletic Director at Brown for 27+ years. Significant experience with the office of Admission and the office of Financial Aid. Was also a University academic advisor.

  • 2018-present Assistant Hockey Coach at St. Georges School in Newport RI

  • Owner of Kenneally Hockey LLC. and Co. Owner of Women’s Hockey Development.

  • 1984 Midget National Champion for Edgewood Hawks

  • Member of the Hall of Fame at Warwick Veterans Memorial High School

  • All-time leading scorer in school history

  • Post graduate year at The Kent school in 1986

  • Leading scorer and all league member

Girls camp for potential Prep School and Junior Hockey players

 This camp is designed to expose players to some of the top prep schools in all of New England. Within the camp, players will receive one practice from current prep school coaches and one skills session from professional women’s hockey players. Players will also have the opportunity to compete in four games that will be coached by current prep school coaches. During these games, current prep school coaches will be evaluating. The overall goal of this camp is to expose each player’s hockey skills to current prep school coaches while also gaining information on New England prep schools in attendance.

Representatives of New England prep schools will have tables including information pertinent to their school for your convenience during the camp.

Included in the camp will be an admission/recruiting seminar with current prep coaches. All families and athletes are welcome to attend.

There will be an hour strength and conditioning/nutritional meeting with members of Peak Fitness and the Worcester Blades professional staff.

There will be a designated goalie session run by current prep coaches and Worcester Blades players. Goalie spots are limited.

The fee for the camp is $399 which includes all on ice coaching, two practices, four games and a Women’s Hockey Development camp jersey.

The camp will take place at The Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center home to the CWHL Worcester Blades.

College Showcase

The women’s college showcase is designed to expose you to some of the top Division 1 and Division 3 college hockey programs in the United States. Practices will be run by current college coaches and you will have the opportunity to compete daily in games that will be coached and evaluated. Within the showcase, players will receive one practice from current Division 1 and Division 3 college coaches and one skills session from professional women’s hockey players.

Included in the showcase will be an admission/recruiting seminar with current college coaches. All families and athletes are welcome to attend.

As NCAA recruiting rules continue to change, the need for clear, concise and accurate information is at an all-time high.
